Dr Tallan Chew

Dr Tallan Chew graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from The University of Adelaide in 2013. She worked in private general practice for three years before undertaking her specialist endodontic training at The University of Adelaide.
During her specialist training, Tallan was involved in research and investigated the impact of root canal treatment on quality of life, and was published in the Journal of Endodontics. Her finding that “Root canal work is not so bad after all” gained awareness and positive media attention internationally.
She received the Eustace travel Scholarship to present her research findings in Berlin and was the also the recipient of the prestigious G.O. Lawrence scholarship from the University of Adelaide.
Tallan is also multilingual and fluent in Mandarin and Bahasa Malaysia. Outside of endodontic practice, Tallan enjoys travelling with her husband Alen and exploring the amazing Melbourne food scene.
