Dr Mohamed Amer otherwise known as “Mo” comes from a family of dentists. He completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2006 and has been working since then in the private and public sectors with a cumulative experience of 10 years as a general dentist in Townsville, Launceston and Melbourne.

Mo obtained the fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (FRACDS) in 2015. Shortly after, he joined the three years full-time endodontics speciality program at the University of Melbourne which he has successfully completed in 2018 obtaining the “Doctor of Clinical Dentistry” degree. During that time, Mo was involved with endodontic research focusing on bleaching of endodontically treated teeth.

In 2021, Mo was accorded the prestigious opportunity to collaborate with a distinguished cohort of nationally and internationally acclaimed endodontists and researchers. Their collective endeavor was the development of a seminal work titled "Endodontic Advances and Evidence-Based Clinical Guidelines." This scholarly text, a testament to their combined expertise and dedication, was subsequently published in 2022.

Currently, Mo works as a full-time specialist endodontist and is a member of the Australian Dental Association, Australian Society of Endodontology and American Association of Endodontists. He is also a reviewer for the “Journal of Dental Traumatology” and has been involved with teaching of undergraduate dental students at the university of Melbourne and continuing professional education programs for general dentists.

Mo is praised by his patients for his gentle and relaxing manners and always works with the rest of the dental team to ensure that his patients have a positive experience.
